Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we have fun kids programming each week called Haven that kids love! Our Haven classrooms are not just a babysitting service – every Sunday we have a special children’s worship music service and age-appropriate Bible based curriculum including a lesson, craft, and game. We have the following classes available each Sunday morning during the main service, Sunday school time, and Wednesday evenings:
Cruisers – Crawlers to 2 years old
Explorers – Preschool
Seekers – Kindergarten through 2nd grade
Captains – 3rd through 5th grade
Note: Students 6th grade through high school seniors attend the adult service, but there is a youth group class for this age group during Sunday School time as well as on Wednesday evenings.
Very! We have a secure child check-in station in our lobby where we will collect information about your child (name, age, allergies, etc.). Your child will wear a check-in sticker with their first name, and the parent or guardian will be provided with a corresponding security sticker used to check out your child at the end of service. Our children’s Haven and church entrance doors remain locked during service, and church leadership provides added security each week. At the end of service, you will make your way down the Haven hallway to pick up your child with the check-out sticker provided before service.
Additionally, all our children’s volunteers have undergone periodic background checks and are trained to teach a wide variety of children including those with special needs.
Of course! While we encourage kids to join their age group class (they will have a lot more fun!), we understand and respect that some families are not comfortable separating during their first visit. Your child is welcome to sit with you during service and if they change their mind, they can always join up with their age group later during service.
Yes, nursing mothers are welcome to use our private Mothers Lounge located in our Haven children’s hallway. The room includes a couch, rocking chair, and changing table. Church staff at the welcome desk can unlock the door for any mothers needing to use the lounge.
