From Graham
March 13, 2026
Good afternoon everyone! I hope that you are having a great last official work day before Spring Break sets upon us. This is something new that Peter, Peyton, and myself are wanting to add to the website – some weekly words from us, so take them as you will.
Over this past year, we have experienced a lot as a Church. We unexpectedly lost our lead minister of almost nine years, Gary Swick, when he passed away on March 14. That next Sunday, March 16, 2025, I delivered a sermon titled “God’s Timing Is Perfect,” and it truly is. The truth is that we serve a God who is not surprised by the things of this world, He is not surprised by the passing of Gary and ultimately He knew that it was going to happen. You see, even though this year has been difficult, it has also been very fruitful. As a church family we have seen many people come to the Lord and accept Him, follow their belief into the waters of baptism to show that they want to be held accountable and publicly profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We have seen families join the church, babies dedicated, and lives restored. With the vacancy in the pulpit, the elders called on me to primarily fill that role along with Peyton preaching quarterly, as well as some guest speakers both inside the church and out in the community. All glory to God that he brought Peter Rasor to us at the time He did. I have known Peter for over a decade and I am so thankful that he is here with us now – may God bless Peter and his ministry here at PCC for many years!
This year has been a testament to the truth that PCC stands on the Rock, Jesus Christ, and not ourselves. If we stood on ourselves and the thoughts and ideas that we wanted, then we would be in shambles; but all glory to God for being the glue that keeps us together and honestly, I believe we are stronger today more than ever before. The future of PCC is golden if you ask me – however, we must stay true to the fact that it is not us who sustain this thing, but God, solely and wholly. May God continue to bless each one of you individually and collectively.
In Him,
Graham
